[Gallery Talks
"Permanent Collection Galleries, One Work"]
The NMWA began with the Matsukata Collection as its collection. These talks will focus on a single work currently on display in the galleries, drawn primarily from the Matsukata Collection. Volunteer staff members will give 10-minute talks seven times a day, for a total of seven art works discussed each day.

- 11:00 – 11:10 Still Life with a Basket of Fruit
- 12:00 – 12:10 Predella Panel Representing the Legend of St. Stephen
- 13:00 – 13:10 Spring (Daphnis and Chloë)

[Architecture Tour]
Volunteer staff members will give guided tours of the Main Building, designed by the world-renowned French architect, Le Corbusier.
Each talk will last approximately 40 minutes.
How to participate: Free tickets are needed for each talk. These free tickets will be distributed 30 minutes before each talk. Each talk is limited to 20 visitors

[Let's Learn about Architectural Models]
How do you make an architectural model? What techniques and tricks are needed? These talks will be presented by professional architectural model makers.
Each talk will last approximately 20 minutes

[Printmaking Techniques]
From making the printing block to printing, these demonstrations will introduce the techniques used in printmaking. Each talk will last approximately 40 minutes

[Print Self-Guided Tour]
These Junior Passport Self-Guided Tours are normally only distributed to elementary and junior school-aged visitors. On Fun Days, however, they are available to all who ask for them. We hope you will enjoy using your Junior Passport as you look closely and carefully at the prints on display.
<<Concert in the Forecourt>>
A concert will be held in front of The Gates of Hell sculpture in the NMWA Forecourt. The musical selection will please all visitors, from children to adults.

On the National Museum of Western Art Fun Days, the museum is open all day as it provides various programs for the enjoyment of the museum and its art.
In 2007, Fun Day were held on the weekend of May 12-13 in 2007 and featured "Bijutool" rental services, gallery talks, architecture tours, stamp rallies with clues, a secret printing studio, and open-sky concerts. Approximately 8,000 visitors enjoyed the programs during the two days.
