Research Library

The Research Library of the National Museum of Western Art, established in March 2002, is an art reference library in the field of Western art. The Library serves museum staff and visiting researchers. Its noncirculating collection focuses on Western art especially from Middle Ages to the first half of the 20th century. The Library holds more than 53,000 volumes including exhibition catalogues, monographs on individual artists, as well as international exhibition, museum and private collection catalogues. It also contains approximately 3,000 periodical titles, of which about 350 are current. Microform collection supplements the Library's book holdings.
