The National Museum of Western Art currently houses some 3,850 prints and drawings. The collection expands each year with the acquisition of approximately 10 to 20 pieces. For academic research and study of Western art history, the museum allows the viewing of these works for the following people:
- * Curators of museums and art museums
- * Academic personnel or researchers from universities and research institutes.
- * Postgraduate students
- * Those approved by the museum director
Viewing hours are 1 p.m.-5:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Friday of every month.
Viewing is free of charge but is only available by advance reservation.
Those who would like to use the facility, please make reservations at least one day in advance via e-mail
or by phone at (+81-3-3828-5131), mentioning the works you would like to view. Permanent collection can be retrieved from Search the collection. Your personal ID will be required to enter the Prints Study room.
