Art Talks / Architectural Tours

These programs presented in Japanese only by the museum's volunteer staff are designed to help adult visitors enjoy our permanent collection and museum buildings. There are two different programs, Art Talks and Architectural Tours, and both are conducted on Sundays when the museum is open. These programs are free with museum admission and operate on a first-come, first-served basis. While no reservations are required, please note that participant numbers are limited.

Art Talks

The museum’s volunteer staff conducts Art Talks focusing on four or five art works on display in the Permanent Collection galleries. Art Talks usually last about 50 minutes.

Date and Time: We meet at the entrance lobby on the first floor of the Main Building (see map) at 13:00 on Sundays (when the museum is open).
Capacity: 15 people (first come, first served)

*Tickets for Art Talks are distributed to the first 15 people who request them at the Information Desk, beginning at 12:30 on the day of the talk. Please note that places are limited.

Architectural Tours

The museum’s volunteer staff conducts tours exploring the architectural features of the museum buildings and grounds. These tours particularly focus on the Main Building and Forecourt Garden, which were designed by the French architect Le Corbusier.

Date and Time: We meet at the entrance lobby on the first floor of the Main Building (see map) at 15:00 on Sundays (when the museum is open).
Capacity: 15 people (first come, first served)

*Tickets for Architectural Tours are distributed to the first 15 people who request them at the Information Desk, beginning at 12:30 on the day of the talk. Please note that places are limited.
