Audio Guides
Information on Audio Guides for Permanent Exhibitions at the National Museum of Western Art
The audio guide features 29 works of Western art from the museum's collection, including paintings by Monet and sculptures by Rodin, and provides audio commentary on the characteristics of the artists and their works. You can use the audio commentary at home or as an appreciation guide in the exhibition room.
How to Use
When using the audio guide in the exhibition room, please bring your smartphone and earphones

Works with audio commentary in the exhibition rooms are marked and numbered (from 1 to 29) as shown below. Press the play button for the number of the work you want to hear the guide for from the list in the web app.
* The audio guide numbers are different from the order of the exhibits. It also includes explanations of works that are not currently on display due to exhibition changes.

Notes when using the audio guide
- Please enter the exhibition room with your smartphone and earphones.
- Please use earphones or headphones when listening in the exhibition room (If you do not have earphones, please hold your smartphone to your ear and pay attention to the volume)
- We do not lend smartphones or earphones.
- Audio guides are not allowed to be recorded.
