Approximately 50 volunteer staff work at the National Museum of Western Art, divided into the following three groups based on their various interests. They all work to support visitor engagement with artworks and the museum as a whole. They all participate in training sessions, follow-up study and training, along with skill development sessions.

In addition to their group’s focus, individual volunteers are also free to participate in the NMWA Friday Night Talks and Volunteer Art programs.

Please submit the NMWA Volunteer 2023 application form by post. This form is also available at the museum during opening hours.
Applications must be received from March 20 to April 10, 2023.
All training sessions and volunteer-led programs are conducted in Japanese.
